Here’s an inspiring video piece by Salomon. I found him on vimeo. This work not only shows great skill but also has a powerful message.

Clever Logo Collection

To say the least there many ways approach the design of a logo. This set of logos represents a simple, straight forward and clever angle that I appreciate very much. Of course there are thousands of logos out there that could be showcased as well but these will have to do for now. Do you have any logos that would be interesting to see? Let me know.

Wrestlerish “Towns” by Chris Valentine

I’m totally loving the hand drawn element given to the CD art for Wrestlerish as developed by Chris Valentine. It’s been a very long time since I’ve drawn out images and integrated into a graphic piece and seeing Chris’s work was very inspiring. Check out more of his work here www.behance.net/gallery/Wrestlerish-Towns-2011/2121792 .

The secret of all effective originality in advertising is not the creation of new and tricky words and pictures, but one of putting familiar words and pictures into new relationships. - Leo Burnett

MetroDaze: Chicago Collection

A basic constant theme in most of my work is the use of city/urban scenes. This latest collection of posters reflects my current affinity with the city of Chicago.

Marius Roosendaal

I recently discovered an amazing designer named Marius Roosendaal from the Netherlands. He has a great design aesthetic with a bit of a retro modern tone to most of his work. Here’s a collection of my favorites from his online portfolio. You can view the rest his work when you visit his website - http://msced.mariusroosendaal.com

Under Not Over

Today’s post is the beginning of what may happen more often this coming year. Freebies! Here’s a free download of some photos I enhanced with Photoshop many many years ago. I am aware that flares are not everybody’s thing but they can be fun in the right environment. So if you’re into it then download the zip file and use them however you would like. If by chance you are not a fan of “flared” work I would love to hear your reasons why not.
